Relex is the world’s first real estate development cryptocurrency, designed to provide better and easier access to high-yield development projects around the world. Listed real estate projects are held to a high level of transparency in order to be eligible for institutional capital consideration.

According to Jones Lang Lasalle’s Global Real Estate Transparency Index 2016, almost 75% of global capital invested in commercial real estate is in the Top 10 most transparent countries in the world. That means that projects in countries with low transparency scores are considered ineligible projects for investment. What if transparency scores in projects located in developing countries were improved?

Positives

  • Relex is the first mover into the incredibly lucrative industry of Real Estate Development. Relex offers investors an easy way to enter a market that is traditionally very hard to access. Investing in Real Estate Development is a long and complex process in the traditional market and for no good reason apart from separating the guys who have a little bit of cash to spend and the guys who have access to millions of dollars. The guys with the big bucks have always had the right of way over the average investor and as a result, things have become muddied and non-transparent. There’s a lot more to it but in short, there’s just too many middlemen standing between developers and investors holding their hands out for a cut of the funding. Obviously Relex is here to change that. We highly recommend you check out their FAQ section, if you’re not familiar with Real Estate Development, they do a great job of spelling it out.
  • The use-case for the RLX token is really simple. Investors are basically given an opportunity, asked to signal their interest and then given the opportunity to help with funding that development, as a reward, they’re given a share of the profits in ETH. That’s really all there is to it. Investors now have the opportunity to fund developments for some of the top and emerging development companies in Asia and North America, all with absolutely no minimum investment amount. This is way out from the norm and offers both developers and investors a whole other level of freedom. We’ve seen some Cryptocurrencies working in the Real Estate industry with very complex token models that are just that, an excuse for a token. Relex has made using RLX as simple as possible and they even go into why RLX is necessary to the platform in their FAQ section. Relex have built RLX with the aim to be completely SEC/FINRA compliant which says a lot for their long-term vision.
  • What has us really impressed about Relex is the amount of news and developments that have been going on in the background. They recently concluded a full month of announcements in which one announcement was made per day. They’ve partnered with Multi-billion dollar company FLC Group, explored construction opportunities in Asia, secured a $3 Million dollar deal with a Russian processing factory, gotten numerous companies on board and so much more. Check them all out. All of this is  in addition to partnerships and cooperation’s with Woodfine Capital, Cocobay Danang & NamHai. There’s some serious progress being made if you are up for a bit of research. When you consider all that has been done in such a short period, it’s crazy to see RLX only sitting at a $4 Million Market Cap (October 2018). Massive potential.
  • In an emerging market, Team strength is incredibly important in telling whether or not a venture will be successful or not. Relex has a lot of very successful people working hard on developing the platform. Let’s take a look at a few. | Keith Hilden (CEO) is a Bitcoin veteran from 2011, and a frontier market finance professional. He has worked over the years to deepen investment ties between developing markets in Asia and North America. | Peter Lee (Director, GO) An ex-VP at JP Morgan, Peter has extensive experience in the areas of risk management and devising strategies to mitigate fraud. | We highly recommend checking out the Relex Team page for more info, their Team has some real experience in global and emerging markets which is critical to this type of “first moving” project.
  • Being completely honest, from the outside looking in Relex seems like any other ICO coin that entered the space over the past 12 months. It’s got a low market cap, a pretty ambitious goal and some great marketing. Once you take the time to do a bit of research like we have (and hopefully we’ve made this research easier), you’ll notice Relex is already making good on their promises. They’ve consistently communicated with their investors and the community is as strong as ever. It looks like they’ve followed through on their initial Roadmap and we’ll hopefully get another update to that Roadmap in the next few weeks as Q4 comes to a close. Definitely not another random ICO token (They didn’t even hold an ICO).

Concerns

  • Probably the only real concern we have regarding Relex would be the possible regulatory hurdles they could face. There’s plenty of red tape and middlemen who are taking their cut for things like tax when it comes to large investment markets. Governments love to control their economy and they no doubt get nervous when millions of dollars are flowing in and out of the country via cryptocurrencies, so a cryptocurrency dealing with real estate development will probably stick out as a double whammy in terms of them wanting a cut. It’s worth noting that Relex have done a lot to ensure RLX is SEC/FINRA compliant now and in the future and the Team has a ton of experience with the legal/financial side of things. We’re sure Relex have probably made plans to get around any red tape if/when they have to.
  • Relex would really benefit from some more exchanges. Volume is at the time of writing (October 2018), reasonably low at just under $20,000 in 24 hours. Exchanges obviously do a good job of helping the liquidity of a token and if RLX can get onto a few more exchanges over the coming months we should see some positive price action as a result. RLX was added to CoinMarketCap in August 2018 and was only available to trade a few months prior, so give this some time. This isn’t a concern for the platform itself but investors should know that exchange listings do take some time. Be patient.
  • No other real concerns here. No big red flags, everything checks out. It’ll be interesting to see this type of cryptocurrency develop. Investors should definitely be in RLX for the long haul but could see very high returns if Relex is successful in their plans on a large scale. They don’t have any competitors yet but if they start to make significant headway and the price of RLX starts to ride up, expect a few others to get in on the action. Overall great project. No major concerns here.

Price Predictions

  • As always, we like to take a step back and look at projects from a purely investment based perspective. RLX honestly hasn’t had a whole lot of price action since it has been available for trade but this may be due to the lack of decent exchanges thus far (Only available on IDEX, LATOKEN and other small exchanges). The good thing about this reasonably steady price action is that once RLX does start to pick up in price there’s a whole lot of price discovery ahead of it, not much in the way of resistance from a TA perspective. Now sitting just under a $4m Market Cap (October 2018), RLX still has a huge amount of growth potential in the long term based on fundamentals. Seeing as real estate based cryptocurrencies are so new and still have a long way to go in terms of discovering their potential valuation, it’s hard to say just how valuable these types of coins could become. Considering the industry RLX is working in and the hundreds of billions of dollars that flow through it every year, RLX could do very well for investors. Now, onto everyone’s favorite, price predictions. Please keep in mind due to the lack of price history, these are highly speculative guesses.
  • Short term (< 3 Months) We think RLX could be sitting anywhere from $0.01 to $0.05.
  • Mid Term (6 – 12 Months) we think RLX could be a stable $0.08 to $0.20, especially if the market turns around in the next few months.
  • Anywhere passed 12 months would be impossible to accurately speculate on but we’d be confident on a $0.20+ RLX in 1+ years. If Relex is successful in their plans with no hiccups along the way, this number could be a lot higher in the years to come.
  • We’ll see how these types of coins handle some of the regulatory rules/laws, but if this method of property investment catches on it could be huge. (These speculations are not to be mistaken for financial advice, we’re just having fun)
